Analytical Chemist
Analytical Chemist – Global Chemicals Company
Contract: 6 months
Location: Brimsdown, UK
Salary: £19.69 per hour
About the Role
To analyse samples submitted using approved procedures with due regard to:
- Required accuracy and precision
- Required delivery times
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient use of time, equipment, and materials to perform work at minimum cost.
- Strictly observe Environment, Health & Safety and security regulations.
- Attend approved training courses, complete online Learning & Development (L&D) courses, and actively participate in analytical skills training and assessment.
- Maintain standards of housekeeping and workplace efficiency using 5S and Lean methodology as needed.
- Establish and maintain effective communication links within and outside the laboratory to ensure good customer service.
- Carry out any other duties reasonable within the employee’s skills.

Candidate Requirements
- Degree or HNC in Chemistry or related subject, or equivalent industrial experience.
- None-smoking/vaping policy (due to handling chemicals).
- Trained & assessed in Laboratory Skills.
- Strong safety awareness.
- Experience in Analytical Chemistry.
- Understanding of the requirements of:
- ISO9001 (Quality Management)
- ISO14001 (Environmental Management)
- ISO17025 (Testing & Calibration)
- Knowledge of Lean Foundations and 5S.
