Analytical Chemistry Development Manager
Location: Oak Tree House, Earby, BB18 6JZ
Salary: £47,000 - £62,500 per annum, DOE + Bonus and Benefits!
Contract: Full time, Permanent
Benefits:

The Role – Analytical Chemistry Development Manager
We're looking for an experienced Analytical Chemistry Development Manager to lead our Analytical Development team, providing technical leadership, mentoring scientists, and driving the successful delivery of method development and validation programmes for our clients.
Responsibilities
As our Analytical Chemistry Development Manager you will:
- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise for analytical method development, optimisation and validation projects.
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of scientists, supporting both technical capability and career progression.
- Manage departmental workload, resources and priorities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Review and approve technical documentation, including methods, protocols, reports and validation studies.
- Interpret and communicate scientific data, drawing robust conclusions and recommendations.
- Support the development of sampling and testing strategies for regulatory submissions and scientific programmes.
- Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, capability and service delivery.
- Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted scientific adviser and technical lead.
- Support commercial activities through technical proposals, client meetings and scientific presentations.
- Contribute to scientific publications, conferences and industry engagement activities.
- Manage relationships with external laboratories and third-party providers.

About You
You'll be an experienced analytical scientist with a strong background in regulated laboratory environments and a proven ability to lead technical teams.
We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- A degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a related scientific discipline (PhD desirable).
- Significant experience in analytical method development and validation within a regulated laboratory environment.
- Expertise in GC-MS and/or LC-MS, with a broader understanding of chromatographic and mass spectrometry techniques.
- Strong knowledge of ICH, USP, EP and relevant analytical validation requirements.
- Experience reviewing technical documentation and supporting regulatory submissions.
- Excellent scientific writing, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing scientists.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of client-focused service delivery.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional scientific standards.
