Join our R&D team at Codis as an Analytical Development Chemist at our Haverhill manufacturing site to play a crucial role in the development and validation of analytical methods for new active pharmaceutical ingredients and drug product formulations.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Analytical Chemist to support the development of robust analytical methods for new active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), intermediates, raw materials and drug products.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop, optimise, and pre-validate analytical methods for APIs, polymers, drug product formulations especially amorphous solid dispersions, intermediates, raw materials, primarily using HPLC, UHPLC, and GC (and hyphenated methods including LC-MS and GC-MS)
- Support method transfers and troubleshooting across internal and client-facing projects
- Generate high-quality technical documentation including method protocols and technical reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure seamless integration of analytical methods into GMP workflows
- Maintain compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), ICH guidelines, and internal quality systems
- Work with different analytical techniques including FT-IR, UV-Vis, Karl Fischer, NMR and others (appropriate training will be provided).

Our Requirements
- BSc, MSc or Ph.D in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline or extensive industrial experience.
- Proven experience in analytical method development, ideally within a pharmaceutical or CDMO environment
- Strong hands-on expertise with HPLC, UHPLC, and or GC instrumentation and software
- Familiarity with regulatory expectations for analytical methods used in API release testing
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset
