About the Role

As Analytical Editorial Operations Manager, you will lead a UK-based team responsible for:

  • Creating, maintaining, and delivering exceptional analytical content for:
    • Legal and Tax Markets portfolios
    • Halsbury’s Laws of England
    • Stair Memorial Encyclopaedia of the Laws of Scotland
  • Driving AI transformation in editorial workflows, including:
    • Guiding the team to leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-enabled tools
    • Developing, refining, and iterating AI prompts while navigating risks
    • Applying robust editorial judgment to validate, optimise, and enhance outputs
  • Overseeing team performance by:
    • Setting and tracking KPIs, metrics dashboards, and productivity goals
    • Managing schedules and ensuring quality, timeliness, and completeness
  • Fostering global collaboration by:
    • Influencing cross-regional teams to share best practices
    • Integrating digital and print workflows for efficiency
  • Building a cross-trained team, enabling adaptability to evolving priorities
  • Supporting team growth through:
    • Regular coaching, mid-year reviews, and annual evaluations
    • Cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Strategic alignment with commercial teams and global operations to meet customer and business needs

Requirements

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in law (preferred)
  • Must reside in the United Kingdom
  • 6+ years of managerial experience
  • Hands-on experience in AI deployment (content/knowledge sector ideal), covering:
    • Translating use cases into scalable models
    • Measuring impact on quality, throughput, and risk management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools (Monday.com, Asana).
    • Experience with XML is a plus
  • Preferred background in publishing or content operations
