About the Role
As Analytical Editorial Operations Manager, you will lead a UK-based team responsible for:
- Creating, maintaining, and delivering exceptional analytical content for:
- Legal and Tax Markets portfolios
- Halsbury’s Laws of England
- Stair Memorial Encyclopaedia of the Laws of Scotland
- Driving AI transformation in editorial workflows, including:
- Guiding the team to leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-enabled tools
- Developing, refining, and iterating AI prompts while navigating risks
- Applying robust editorial judgment to validate, optimise, and enhance outputs
- Overseeing team performance by:
- Setting and tracking KPIs, metrics dashboards, and productivity goals
- Managing schedules and ensuring quality, timeliness, and completeness
- Fostering global collaboration by:
- Influencing cross-regional teams to share best practices
- Integrating digital and print workflows for efficiency
- Building a cross-trained team, enabling adaptability to evolving priorities
- Supporting team growth through:
- Regular coaching, mid-year reviews, and annual evaluations
- Cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Strategic alignment with commercial teams and global operations to meet customer and business needs

Requirements
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in law (preferred)
- Must reside in the United Kingdom
- 6+ years of managerial experience
- Hands-on experience in AI deployment (content/knowledge sector ideal), covering:
- Translating use cases into scalable models
- Measuring impact on quality, throughput, and risk management
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools (Monday.com, Asana).
- Experience with XML is a plus
- Preferred background in publishing or content operations
