Analytical Product Development Scientist – Eurofins PSS Insourcing Solutions®

This full-time, permanent role is based in a flexible 36.5-hour workweek (Monday–Friday) and offers an opportunity to advance your career in pharmaceutical analytical development. Responsibilities

As an Analytical Product Development Scientist, you will play a critical role in ensuring pharmaceutical Oral Drug Products (ODPs) and New Modalities (including peptides) are developed, tested, and delivered with accuracy and compliance. Key duties include:

  • Performing routine and non-routine analysis using traditional and modern analytical techniques, as directed by the Lead Scientist or customer representative.
  • Reviewing analytical data for GMP compliance, preparing, and approving test results—where trained and deemed competent for those specific tasks.
  • Supporting the development and validation of analytical procedures tailored to Oral Drug Products and New Modalities (e.g., peptide-based drugs), in line with your experience.
  • Managing On-Out-of-Specification (OOS) results and responding to action limits as per customer procedures.
  • Participating in the preparation of analytical reports.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience:

  • A degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Relevant hands-on experience in pharmaceutical analysis within a development laboratory practice, or equivalent expertise.
  • Proficiency in traditional analytical techniques (e.g., chemical assays, qRT-PCR, titrations).
  • Competency in chromatographic methods, including but not limited to:
    • HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography)
    • Karl Fischer titration
    • Dissolution testing
    • Mass Spectrometry and spectroscopic techniques
  • Underlying experience in pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments is preferred but not always mandatory.
