Important Note: Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
About the Role
Eurofins PSS is recruiting multiple Analytical Scientists—from recent graduates to experienced professionals—to provide critical on-site analytical support in collaboration with Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) at their Moreton facility (Wirral) as a Eurofins Managed PSS Scientist.
⚠️ Note:
- This is an employment role with Eurofins PSS, not with Bristol Myers Squibb. Eurofins will not host audits, track training, or answer direct questions regarding standard operating procedures (SOPs) or regulatory obligations—Bristol Myers Squibb manages these aspects independently.
Your role focuses on spearheading compliance-driven pharmaceutical testing while maintaining GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards to ensure quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
As an Analytical Scientist, you will be responsible for:

- Carry out tests using core techniques: HPLC, dissolution, Karl Fischer, and UV-vis spectrometric assays.
-
Technical Support & Method Advancement
- Assist with technology transfers for new products, ensuring seamless implementation and alignment with client procedures.
- Support analytical development and validation activities where required.
- Work confidently with MS Office applications, Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs), and LIMS.
-
Data Integrity & GMP Compliance
- Review analytical data for GMP compliance and proactively manage Out-of-Specification (OOS) results and deviations according to strict guidelines.
- Ensure accurate recording of test results and documentation in line with client SOPs, verifying/signing-off results you have been certified to perform.
-
Operational Excellence
- Maintain productivity against tracked metrics (e.g., test completion timelines, cycle efficiency).
- Support audits, method revisions, and QC sample testing.
- Advance continuous improvement initiatives by identifying operational efficiencies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
