Investment Analytics Developer – Front Office Investment Tools - Asset Management | London | Hybrid

We're looking for a Python developer with outstanding communication skills to join a specialist quant and analytics team at a leading UK asset manager. You'll sit within the front office, working directly alongside portfolio managers and investment teams, not behind a layer of business analysts.

The dashboards and tools you build will be used directly by the people making capital allocation decisions across equities, rates, credit, private markets and ESG.

This role is not for generalist engineers. We're looking for someone who has worked face-to-face with investment desks and understands the context behind the questions they ask, or who has deepened that understanding through the CFA. Experience supporting commercial teams like marketing or fund sales won't be sufficient.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What sets the strongest candidates apart

The best applicants will have worked directly with investment desks - not just within an asset manager, but embedded in or alongside the investment process itself. You understand why a portfolio manager is asking a question, not just how to answer it technically. CFA (completed or in progress) signals the investment fluency we're looking for.
