Analytics Engineer | Azure | dbt | SQL | Python

📍 London / Hybrid
đź’° Salary up to ÂŁ90k

We’re working with a growing technology business looking for an Analytics Engineer to help build and scale their data capabilities.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys creating robust data foundations, improving existing models, and helping shape a modern data platform. You’ll take ownership of the data models and pipelines that power reporting and decision-making across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain dbt models and complex SQL transformations
  • Support the migration and redesign of existing data models and pipelines
  • Help build and structure a modern data warehouse environment
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using orchestration tools
  • Use Python for automation, validation, and data quality improvements
  • Apply strong data modelling practices across reporting and analytics
  • Implement testing, documentation, and data quality processes
  • Work closely with analysts and stakeholders to deliver trusted insights

Requirements

  • Experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or similar
  • Strong SQL and production dbt experience
  • Solid understanding of data modelling and warehouse design principles
  • Experience with Python, Git, and CI/CD workflows
  • Experience with Azure (ADL/ADF), PostgreSQL, Terraform, Power Automate, and Cosmos DB
  • Exposure to orchestration tools such as Prefect, Airflow, or Dagster

Nice to Have

  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries
  • Experience building data warehouses or migrating legacy platforms
  • Familiarity with tools such as Metabase, Tableau, or data observability platforms
