Role: Data Engineer (dBT) - Global Product Analytics
Responsibilities
- Design & Maintain Data Models: Build and optimize dBT models aligned with global data architecture and business needs.
- End-to-End Pipeline Ownership: Oversee extraction, transformation, and loading of data (ETL) to ensure accuracy and timeliness for analytics.
- Optimize Query Performance: Write complex SQL and macros, improving efficiency and scalability for global dashboards (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
- Data Quality & Governance: Implement checks, cleanses, and metadata tagging to maintain reliability.
- Collaboration: Work with data analysts to align metrics definitions and resolutions, fostering consistency across global teams.
- Team Process Improvement: Share workflow best practices or lead portions of meetings (collaboration driver).

Requirements
Qualifications
✔ Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related quantitative discipline.
✔ Experience
- 3+ years in data engineering, BI development, or analytics positions.
- Proven ability to handle multi-project workflows, troubleshoot issues, and deliver results under tight timelines.
✔ Technical Skills
- Strong SQL proficiency.
- Hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) and dBT for modeling (schema, testing, macros).
- Experience building dashboards with Looker/Tableau or similar BI platforms.
- Basic Python/R scripting (automation, data cleaning, integration).

- Strategic communicator, able to translate technical details for both non-technical stakeholders and colleagues.
- Curious collaborator with ownership mindset.
