Analytics Engineer | London (Hybrid) | £55,000 - £65,000
I'm partnering with a fast-growing technology business that's undergoing a major platform transformation and investing heavily in its data capabilities.
As part of the launch of a new core platform, they're looking for an Analytics Engineer to take ownership of the data models, pipelines, and reporting foundations that power decision making across the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join at a pivotal stage where you'll help shape a modern data warehouse from the ground up, influence technical decisions, and play a key role in redesigning critical reporting infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain dbt models and SQL transformations that support business-critical reporting and analytics
- Lead the migration and refactoring of existing data models and pipelines, deciding what should be retained, improved, or rebuilt
- Design and develop a modern data warehouse, including schema design, data layering, and dimensional modeling best practices
- Own and optimize data pipelines using Prefect, while developing Python solutions for automation, validation, and operational processes
- Partner closely with analysts and stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable data solutions that support business growth

What you'll need
- 2-4 years' experience in an Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or similar data-focused role
- Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade dbt models
- Solid understanding of data warehouse design, dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables, and schema architecture
- Experience working with orchestration tools such as Prefect, Airflow, or Dagster, alongside Python for automation and scripting
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD practices, and working directly with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
