Analytics Specialist
Royal Mail is accelerating its transformation into a more agile, digitally enabled and data-driven business. As we continue to enhance our digital products and customer journeys, we're looking for an Analytics Specialist to provide the insight, measurement and optimisation expertise that helps teams make smarter decisions and deliver better customer outcomes.
This is a hands-on specialist role for someone who enjoys working closely with product, design, engineering and marketing teams to turn data into meaningful actions. You'll play a key role in ensuring high-quality digital measurement, uncovering customer insights and supporting optimisation initiatives across multiple commercial product journeys.
We're particularly interested in individuals who are excited by the opportunities that AI-enabled analytics tools can bring, helping accelerate analysis, improve productivity and generate deeper insights at scale.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Analytics Specialist, you'll:
- Support the ongoing improvement of digital measurement across web and app experiences, ensuring tracking, tagging and data collection are accurate, reliable and scalable.
- Partner with tagging and engineering teams to maintain and enhance data layers and tag management solutions.
- Analyse customer journeys, funnels and conversion performance to identify friction points and opportunities for optimisation.
- Support Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) initiatives through insight generation, hypothesis development and experiment analysis.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that support product, design, growth and marketing decisions.
- Build and maintain dashboards and performance reporting that help teams monitor key customer and business metrics.
- Support experimentation and discovery activities, including A/B testing, feature analysis and behavioural insights.
- Leverage AI-powered analytics tools to improve reporting, audience segmentation, pattern recognition and insight generation.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers and delivery teams to embed analytics into everyday decision-making.
- Work with analytics platforms and technology partners to maximise the value of tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics and BI reporting solutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
