Salary: £85,000 - £100,000 + Discretionary Bonus + Benefits

Are you an experienced Mobile Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, shaping architecture, and working directly with customers to define the best technical solutions?

I'm supporting a growing technology consultancy that's looking for a Principal Mobile Engineer with a strong Android background to join their engineering practice. This is an opportunity to lead the technical direction of mobile projects, working closely with clients to define architecture, influence engineering decisions, and build modern mobile applications that are scalable, maintainable, and built for the future.

You'll remain hands-on while acting as a trusted technical advisor, helping engineering teams deliver high-quality mobile products using modern engineering principles and best practices.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing technical leadership across multiple mobile engineering engagements.
  • Working directly with customers to understand business challenges and translate them into robust mobile solutions.
  • Defining application architecture and establishing engineering standards across delivery teams.
  • Remaining hands-on with Android development while supporting engineers through mentoring, coaching, and code reviews.
  • Leading architectural discussions around scalability, maintainability, security, and long-term platform evolution.
  • Collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, Architects, and Engineering teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Helping shape technical roadmaps, proof of concepts, and technology choices.
  • Contributing to technical pre-sales activities, discovery workshops, and client strategy sessions where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
