About the Role
Airalo’s fully remote Engineering team in Spain is growing. Engineering drives Airalo’s eSIM platform—we develop the product that allows millions of people to stay connected, across the globe. While the challenges are vast and exciting—high-scale systems, carrier integrations, and multi-faceted B2C & B2B products—we prioritise an environment where engineers can thrive with ownership, autonomy and direct alignment with business outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop enterprise-quality software components based on product specifications.
- Build and enhance new features or existing ones.
- Address technical and application troubleshooting efficiently.
- Collaborate daily with developers across the entire software development lifecycle.
- Generate technical documentation for the Android application to broaden the knowledge base.
- Stay updated with best practices and propose innovative solutions to the team.
- Ensure high-quality code, align with guidelines, and implement tests.
Requirements
Must-Haves
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, or comparable discipline.
- At least 3 years of development experience in an agile team using Java/Kotlin.
- Publicly published and continuously supported one or multiple Android Apps.
- Expertise in Git, Gitflow, branching, and merging strategies.
- Know-how in OOP concepts and design patterns.
- Proficiency in Android SDK development.
- Familiarity with MVVM or equivalent architecture frameworks.
- Experience with payment systems and marketplaces.
- Ability to implement pixel-perfect designs following Android design guidelines.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, processes, and memory management.
- Commitment as a collaborative team member, open to new ideas.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Unit Tests, Feature Tests, and Mocking.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

- Understanding of UI/UX best practices.
- Familiarity with A/B testing.
- Prior experience with Scrum and other agile methodologies.
- Exposure to telecommunications industry.
- Knowledge of eSIM and GSMA-related technologies.
