Android Software Engineer

Our client, an exciting AI start-up operating in Stealth is seeking an experienced Android Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on building innovative mobile applications for a large user base.
This role will involve developing high-quality Android solutions, integrating intelligent platform capabilities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and engaging user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin
- Build and enhance mobile features that leverage advanced data and automation capabilities
- Create intuitive and responsive user experiences across a range of mobile workflows
- Integrate external services and APIs into the application ecosystem
- Optimise application performance, reliability, and scalability
- Implement monitoring, analytics, and diagnostic tooling
- Work closely with product, backend, and engineering teams to deliver new functionality
- Support application security, testing, and production stability

Key Skills:
- Commercial Android development experience using Kotlin
- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and best practices
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and backend services
- Knowledge of asynchronous programming, including Coroutines and Flow
- Strong debugging, testing, and performance optimisation skills
- Experience working within agile development environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
