About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Android Developer to join our client's team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the Android client experience for a pioneering AI product. The successful candidate will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining a robust Android application where AI interactions are central to the user experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including AI specialists and UI/UX designers, to deliver seamless and innovative mobile solutions. Your expertise in Kotlin and Android development will be instrumental in ensuring the app's performance, reliability, and scalability, ultimately contributing to the company's mission of delivering state-of-the-art AI-powered applications.

Qualifications
- A good degree from a Russell Group university or equivalent.
- Proven experience in Android development using Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI features such as large language models (LLMs) or speech APIs.
- Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming paradigms, including Coroutines or Flow.
- Excellent debugging skills and experience with performance profiling on Android platforms.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain the Android application, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Integrate AI functionalities such as LLMs and speech recognition APIs to enable intelligent interactions within the app.
- Implement asynchronous programming techniques to handle real-time data processing and user interactions smoothly.
- Collaborate with AI engineers, UI/UX designers, and product managers to deliver a cohesive user experience.
- Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance profiling to optimize app functionality and stability.
- Stay updated with the latest Android development trends and incorporate best practices into the development process.
- Participate in agile development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
