Animal Care Assistant – Kingston Veterinary Group, Beverley (Full-Time)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Animal Care Assistant to join our Kingston Veterinary Group in Beverley on a full-time basis.
About the Role
Kingston Veterinary Group is a 6-site practice with a tier 3 veterinary hospital at its core. Since 2019, our Beverley Road branch has been our dedicated dental branch, providing dental services to the entire practice. In 2021, the site underwent expansion, now featuring two fully equipped dental suites with dental X-ray capabilities.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As an Animal Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the clinical team to deliver exceptional patient and client care while ensuring a smooth, safe, and compassionate practice environment.
Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon (VS) or Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), you will:
- Support inpatient care under supervision
- Assist with patient handling and restraint
- Help maintain clinical areas and equipment
- Contribute to a positive experience for both patients and clients
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of inpatient care under the direction of the VS or RVN
- Communicate with the supervising VS and RVN on basic inpatient status updates
- Provide professional communication when handling reception and client-based duties
- Assist in setting up clinical procedures and support VS and RVN during operations
- Build strong relationships with all practice team members
- Adhere strictly to IVC Evidensia policies and animal welfare standards
- Follow and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain high cleanliness and biosecurity standards throughout the facility

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, running Monday–Saturday.

- Preferable: Prior experience working with animals in clinical or non-clinical settings

Salary: Up to £26,528.31 per annum
