Our Animal Care Technicians provide loving care for our pet guests during their stay—focusing on safety, comfort, and cleanliness. Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning & Maintenance
- Sanitize pet suites, condos, boarding areas, and kitchens
- Disinfect environments using appropriate chemicals
- Pet Care
- Feed, water, and monitor all pet guests
- Chart consumption and elimination daily (report issues immediately)
- Launder pet bedding and belongings
- ** Guest Services**
- Check-in/check-out pets, providing top-tier customer service
- Handle leashed dogs safely and observe animal behavior
- Welcome human and pet guests professionally
- Support & Facilities Management
- Assist colleagues in a team player role
- Monitor facility cleanliness
- Use computerized pet care systems
- Compliance & Procedures
- Follow safe handling, hygiene, and pet behavior protocols

Qualifications & Requirements
Skills & Abilities
- Deep love for animals with a calm, nurturing demeanor
- Professionalism in interactions with humans and pets
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Lifting 40+ pounds (gearing, supplies, bedding)
- Standing/walking for 8+ hours daily (physical activeness required)
- Computer literacy (scheduling, inventory, pet care software)
- Tolerance for exposures (animal dander, odors, excretions, sanitizers)

Essential Job Functions
- Customer centricity – Positive, engaging interactions with owners & pets
- Animal welfare awareness – Recognizing and responding to behavioral cues
- Teamwork – Collaborating on- and off-batch for optimum care
- Attention to detail – Accurate recording of pet status and care
- Adaptability – Juggling feeding, cleaning, and emergencies under pressure
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma/GED (required)—No advanced degrees essential!
- At least 1 year of professional pet care experience (not required but preferred)
Compensation & Benefits
