Our client is looking for a driven and commercially minded Territory Manager / Ruminant Sales Representative to take ownership of the Northern Ireland territory.

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver sales and gross margin targets within the region. You will manage and develop relationships with existing and new veterinary clients - including independent practices, buying groups, and corporate accounts. Alongside direct selling, you will collaborate with our technical services veterinary team to provide top-tier product support for vaccination solutions, ensuring optimal herd health and disease prevention.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + 30% bonus
Location: Northern Ireland (Field and Remote)
Package: Full EV Company Car, Travel Insurance, Health Insurance, Good Pension, 25 Days Holiday

The Role:

  • Maintain existing business through robust customer retention initiatives and engagement plans aligned with company values.
  • Identify and establish new accounts, organising your work schedule to maximise sales potential across the territory.
  • Create well thought-out growth plans that effectively utilise company resources, including marketing, office staff, and technical support.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the features and benefits of the product portfolio to emphasise them effectively in sales efforts.
  • Keep customer files updated using the CRM system. Collaborate with your line manager to submit regular reports, review market/competitor data, and set annual sales objectives.
  • Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in your area.
  • Organise and accompany technical or marketing support visits. Attend evening and weekend meetings, conferences, internal sales meetings, and customer CPD events as required.

  • Sales experience within the animal health sector, preferably with pharmaceuticals.
  • Driven, ambitious and confident.
  • Knowledge and a relevant qualification in animal science, with a specific focus on the ruminant sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to express ideas and thoughts clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and CRM data entry.
  • A current, full, clean UK driving licence. Candidates must have a valid passport allowing for UK and EU travel and be willing to undertake occasional overnight stays.
