Anti-Money Laundering Analyst
Role Overview
The Team
As an AML Analyst based in RPC’s Bristol office, you will join a central team reporting to the AML Manager, conducting client due diligence (CDD) checks on clients and matters. Your efforts will align with RPC’s anti-money laundering (AML) and combating the financing of terrorism (CFT) obligations. The team supports all RPC offices, including locations in London, Bristol, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
The Role
You will collaborate closely with lawyers to gather critical information and documents, conducting independent research to produce high-quality CDD risk assessments for a diverse range of corporate entities and individuals. Your responsibilities will also include regular communication with the Risk team and Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs), supporting them through necessary referrals, escalations, and further research as required.
RPC prioritises training and development in this role. You’ll develop your existing knowledge of AML and CDD by assisting the AML Analyst team in daily operations. Bespoke training will be provided, alongside comprehensive CDD procedures, templates, and guidance. Access to firm-wide training events is also available.
While CDD is a core aspect of legal practice, note that this role does not provide qualifying work experience (QWE) for solicitor trainees. However, it offers valuable work experience in a legal office, developing skills like:
- Research
- Drafting
- Managing workloads

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
