Job Description
The Anti-Piracy Investigator will work within the Rights & Revenue Protection Services (RRP) team, focusing on the protection and enforcement of Sportradar’s audio-visual products. This role requires a highly connected, proactive, and forward-thinking professional with direct experience in combating illegal sports piracy.
The Challenge
- Conduct intelligence investigations using an all-source approach, covering:
- Open-source intelligence (OSINT)
- Cyber & Darknet intelligence (CYBINT/DNINT)
- Research and analyze to identify key risks, document findings, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Develop and maintain anti-piracy strategy and tools, including:
- Identifying new technologies to bolster RRP’s defenses.
- Contributing to formalized operating procedures for client trust and stakeholder confidence.
- Produce a range of intelligence and enforcement products, including:
- Short, targeted reports
- Extensive research documentation
About You
Essential Experience & Skills
- Operational experience in:
- Research, content protection, digital investigations, illegal streaming prevention, or rights protection.
- Appearance, gaming, or law enforcement (advantageous).
- Recent graduates are welcome—preferred degrees:
- Criminology
- Digital Forensics
- IP Enforcement
- Compliance, Audit, or similar fields.
- Proven expertise in:
- OSINT, HUMINT (Human Intelligence), or CYBINT/DNINT tooling/methods.
- Analytical software like i2 Analyst’s Notebook.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with:
- Ability to craft concise, jargon-free reports.
- Aptitude to present findings to diverse stakeholders.
- Understanding of intellectual property protection, legislation, and enforcement principles.

Preferred Criteria
- Industry networking:
- Previous relationships with ISPs, app hosts, social media platforms, or closed networks.
- Technical interests:
- Passion for the global betting, digital content protection, and anti-piracy landscape.
- Experience with programming languages (Python, JavaScript).
- Language proficiency:
- Fluent English required; additional languages considered highly advantageous.
