POST NUMBER 006017 WEEKLY WORKING HOURS: 37 SALARY RANGE: £37,280 to £40,777 per year (pro-rata for hours worked) TYPE OF CONTRACT: Fixed Term – Maternity Cover LOCATION: Stevenage
About the Role

Core Responsibilities:
- Work extensively with individuals affected by anti-social behaviour (ASB) or crime, providing support and case investigations.
- Conduct customer-friendly investigations in collaboration with partner agencies (e.g., police, social services) to resolve complaints.
- Act in accordance with tenancy agreements and ASB Powers and Tools (e.g., statutory notices, civil injunctions).
- Manage emotional and sensitive situations, addressing residents’ perceptions and concerns tactfully.
- Oversee a case load of ASB and environmental crime cases, ensuring timely responses and effective outcomes.
- Provide a reactive service to Stevenage residents, tackling issues like noise, vandalism, or harassment per published procedures.

- Mediation sessions
- Ensure issues are addressed within agreed timescales.
- Work closely with internal/external agencies (e.g., elected members, community groups) to resolve ASB reports.

About You
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Formal education (e.g., HND/HNC in Housing, Social Work, or ASB-related qualifications) or equivalent professional experience in support/guidance roles.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Investigative techniques (interviews, evidence-gathering) for ASB cases.
- Enforcement tools (e.g., antidiscrimination laws, hazardous substance control).
- Ability to:
- Handle emotionally challenging situations with empathy.
- Interpret resident/client needs and perceptions.
- Collect/collate case information effectively.
- Work proactively in frontline scenarios.
Soft Skills & Attributes
- Demonstrated ability to work:
- Independently (own initiative) and as part of a team.
- Calmly under pressure in difficult neighbourhood contexts.
- Full UK driving licence (with access to a personal vehicle).
- Commitment to value-based interviewing and DBS clearance.
