You'll be able to identify risk and recognise when cases become more complex and require more intensive management or legal action. What you'll need You'll have knowledge of anti-social behaviour legislation and locally agreed approaches to tackling it. With good knowledge of council services and other organisations, you'll understand how they could impact on or help address anti-social behaviour issues. Using excellent literacy and numeracy skills as well as good attention to detail, you'll have the ability to prepare and manage evidence, compose official enforcement letters and preparing acceptable behaviour contracts. You will also be a proficient report writer, with the ability to create legal bundles and defend your decisions under legal scrutiny. You will be organised and have the ability to identify risk and regularly re-prioritise your cases and other duties accordingly. You will also need strong teamwork skills and the ability to engage with challenging and hard to reach individuals. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
