About The Position
ANU Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) International Fee Offset Scholarship 2024/25 (Multiple Fully-funded MSc/PhD positions)
Multiple fully funded Masters and PhD scholarship positions are currently open at the Australia National University via the Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) International Fee Offset Scholarship 2024/25. AGRTP are fully funded positions funded by the Commonwealth government of Australia in host Universities to support eligible international students to undertake a masters or PhD in research. The scholarships are open in a broad range of disciplines across the University.

The AGRTP International Fee Offset Scholarship 2024/25 at ANU will cover the full tuition fees for the successful applicants including an Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the duration of studies.

AGRTP International Fee Offset Scholarship 2023 Overview

- Application periods: Open all year round (for the current Rd, apply before 30 August 2024)
To be eligible for the current scholarship round, apply for admissions before 30 August 2024.
Two major rounds are open yearly. In order to be considered in the main round of scholarships, interested applicants are required to have applied for admission by 15 April in the year of commencing their HDR Program or 31 August in the year prior to commencing their HDR program.
Eligibility Criteria for the AGRTP International Fee Offset Scholarship 2024
To be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant;
- Must be an international student enrolled/to be enrolled in a full-time program leading to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy/Master of Philosophy/Professional Doctorate at The Australian National University in the program for which it is awarded.
- The student must not be receiving an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth designed to offset HDR fees. See further details at AGRTP conditions of award

Selection Criteria
Successful candidates are selected based on a competitive ranking process, to the top-ranked candidates, subject to evidence they meet merit-based selection criteria, and subject to confirmation of a qualified supervisor, space and resources being available, in an area of research that is aligned with ANU research strategy.

How to apply for the AGRTP International Fee Offset Scholarship 2024/25
There is no separate application for a research degree program and scholarship. Applicants are expected to apply for admission into a degree program at ANU when submitting an application for this scholarship. As such an eligible applicant is automatically considered with no direct application for the scholarship. When completing the admission application for an HDR program(MSC/PhD) you can select which scholarship you are interested to be considered for including the AGRTP. There is no separate application form for admissions and scholarships.
Health Foundations & Medical Research
Application for admissions must be submitted before the 30 of August to be considered for the 2023 round of this scholarship.
To apply for admissions, applicants are encouraged to first contact a potential supervisor to discuss research interest or a relevant Graduate Studies Convener.

- If successful with the admissions, you are automatically considered for this scholarship.
