Summary

Apigee Lead Engineer with strong expertise in Google Apigee, including migration from Apigee Edge to Apigee X. Skilled in bridging development and operations by automating workflows, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring reliable software deployment. Proven ability to manage infrastructure, monitor performance, and collaborate across teams to maintain scalable, secure, and resilient systems.

Key Role and Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, and monitor solutions using AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, ECS, ECR, Dynamo, S3, etc.)
  • Integrate APIs into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub workflows
  • Lead and execute migration projects from Apigee Edge to Apigee X, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance
  • Design, deploy, and manage applications tailored to business needs, while customizing platforms and overseeing the full API lifecycle using Apigee Edge and X.
  • Drive API strategy execution, provide technical support, and generate insights through analytics to enhance integrations and documentation.

  • Security Cleared or Clearable
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and mentoring the team.
  • Senior stakeholder engagement, ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization including Executive Directors. This includes economic considerations for the product roadmap.
  • Extensive experience with Google Apigee, including migration from Edge to X
  • Ability to generate custom analytics reports for API consumption and errors
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) is a must
  • Proficiency with AWS cloud tools and architecture, including deploying microservices using ECS, ECR, and Fargate.
  • Hands-on experience with Python
  • Hands-on experience with Docker.
  • Experience in setting up and managing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding of build and deployment methodologies for distributed systems
  • Solid experience with enterprise-grade applications and systems
  • Proficiency in Node.js-based web applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Implementation of API security and access control (OAuth, API keys, JWT, etc.)
  • Familiarity with API design patterns, best practices, and performance optimization
