APNT Programme Manager
Project Manager (APNT) – Raytheon UK

Our UK operation, employing ~2000 people across major sites (Harlow, Glasgow, and Wales), drives global advancements in land, sea, air, cyber, and space domains. Our APNT (Assured Positioning Navigation & Timing) business deliver Anti-Jam systems critical to defence—requires agile teamwork, strong leadership, and resilience in fast-changing environments.
Key Purpose of the Role
Lead a high-performance Integrated Project Team to execute technically complex, high-profile projects for the APNT business. Responsibilities include:
- Guaranteeing on-time, high-quality delivery and meeting financial targets (cost, P&L, quality).
- Securing new business opportunities through innovative thinking and opportunity identification.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships (customers, internal teams, senior leadership).
- Scaling the APNT team while maintaining an inclusive, growth-focused culture.
- Supporting domestic/international travel to clients, suppliers, and programme sites.

About the Team
- Works within a defence-focused APNT programme—creating momentum, adapting to changes, and driving technical and commercial success.
- Requires collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, technical specialists, and senior leadership.
About You
Essential
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in a technical discipline, manufacturing, or project management (formal project management certification desirable).
- Proven Project Manager with hands-on experience in:
- Delivering complex projects to time, cost, and quality (with P&L accountability).
- Issue/scope/risk/opportunity management and data-driven decision-making.
- Financial oversight—budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams effectively.
- Domestic and international travel (mandatory for this role).
- Challenging biased assumptions and seeking new business angles.
- Ability to build strong relationships (internal stakeholders & customers).
- Proactively seeks new opportunities for expansion.
Desirable
- Deep experience in defence/aerospace/splement or high-tech industries.
- Expertise in stakeholder management, proposal processes, and bid-winning strategies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
