Red Vacuums is a family-owned business proudly serving Northern Virginia for over a decade. We're looking for an experienced Appliance Repair Technician who enjoys diagnosing problems, working with their hands, and takes pride in quality workmanship.
This is an in-store repair position. We do not perform in-home service calls, so you'll be working in a clean, organized shop repairing a wide variety of equipment.
We're looking for someone who already has repair experience and can work independently. While every shop has its own procedures, this is not an entry-level position.
If you enjoy solving problems, working with quality products, and helping customers, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Working On
- Vacuum cleaners
- Coffee and espresso machines
- Sewing machines
- Air purifiers
- Other small household appliances as needed
Every day is different. Some repairs are simple, while others require careful troubleshooting and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Appliance Diagnosis & Repair
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
- Perform repairs, adjustments, maintenance, and part replacements.
- Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and service information when needed.
- Use hand tools, power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform preventative maintenance when appropriate.
- Test all equipment thoroughly before returning it to the customer.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

A Message From the Owner
Finding experienced repair technicians has become challenging over time, but I still believe there are people out there who take pride in fixing things the right way. Which is why I'm looking for the right person, not just the next available applicant.
We're a small family-owned business that believes in doing quality work and treating customers honestly and respectfully. We don't cut corners. Our customers trust us because we take the time to diagnose problems correctly and timely and stand behind our work.
We're looking for someone who enjoys figuring out how things work, takes pride in making quality repairs, and appreciates being part of a team where everyone's contribution matters.
This isn't a position where you'll be left on your own to learn everything from scratch. I'm looking for someone who already has repair experience and can work independently while becoming familiar with the products and procedures unique to our shop.
Even if your background isn't an exact match but you have solid mechanical repair experience, feel free to reach out. I'd much rather have a conversation with the right person than miss the opportunity to meet someone who could become a valuable part of our team.
If that sounds like the kind of place you'd enjoy working, I'd be happy to meet you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
