Oracle FLEXCUBE Functional Application Analyst
London

We are partnering with a UK-based bank to appoint an experienced Oracle FLEXCUBE Functional Application Analyst to join its IT function.
This is a hands-on, business-facing role responsible for providing functional support across the bank's Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking platform. The successful candidate will act as a key link between business stakeholders, functional IT teams and Oracle, translating operational requirements into effective system solutions and supporting the delivery of application enhancements and strategic technology projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day functional support for Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking applications
- Support FLEXCUBE modules covering Core Banking, Payments, Corporate Lending, Trade Finance, Treasury, Origination, Branch Management, Limits & Collateral Management, and Digital Banking
- Investigate and resolve functional issues, user enquiries, and production incidents
- Liaise with business stakeholders, Oracle, implementation partners, and technical teams
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements
- Produce Business Requirements Documents, Functional Specifications, and process maps
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to understand operational requirements
- Perform gap analysis and recommend functional solutions aligned with FLEXCUBE best practice
- Coordinate application enhancements, system changes, and software releases
- Manage functional testing and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Support production deployments and transition changes into business-as-usual support
- Contribute to core banking upgrades, digital banking initiatives, payment enhancements, and regulatory change projects
- Support Treasury and Capital Markets system implementations and integrations
- Support SWIFT, payment hub, and digital banking integration projects
- Review existing operational processes and identify opportunities for automation and improvement
- Maintain application configuration, change, and operational documentation

- Proven experience supporting Oracle FLEXCUBE Universal Banking in a functional capacity
- Strong functional knowledge of core banking applications and banking processes
- Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
- Strong experience supporting business users within a production environment
- Experience managing application changes, enhancements, and software releases
- Experience coordinating functional testing and UAT
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical stakeholders
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Proficiency in Jira, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office
Desirable Experience:
- Oracle Banking Digital Experience (OBDX)
- Treasury or Capital Markets system implementations
- SWIFT payments and messaging
- ISO 20022
- Oracle Banking APIs
- Oracle Integration Cloud or middleware
- Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
- Experience within regulated financial services
