Application Engineer

About Kyrus

Kyrus is a growing UK manufacturer of automation equipment and engineering systems. We design and manufacture robotic linear tracks, machine guarding, laser enclosures, gantry systems, positioners, manipulators, and bespoke automation solutions for customers throughout the UK and overseas.

As the business continues to grow, we are looking to recruit an Applications Engineer to strengthen our sales and engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a technical background who enjoys working with customers, preparing quotations, producing proposal drawings, and helping turn customer enquiries into successful projects.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Sales Team, you will play a key role in supporting the sales process from initial enquiry through to order placement.

You will work closely with customers, sales personnel, and engineers to develop technical proposals, prepare quotations, and generate concept layouts for a wide range of automation and engineering projects.

The role will also involve creating CAD models, technical documentation, and marketing materials for our standard catalogue product range.

This position sits between Sales and Engineering and would suit someone who enjoys technical work but prefers a commercially focused role rather than a full project design engineering position.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
