We’re looking for an Application Engineer – Radar & ECDIS, to become the subject matter expert for Sperry’s VisionMaster Radar and ECDIS product lines. This is a pivotal role that sits at the heart of the business, supporting the full value stream - from early sales engagement through to solution delivery.
If you enjoy combining deep technical knowledge with real-world application, influencing solutions, and working cross‑functionally with sales, engineering, project delivery, and customers, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to broaden your impact and visibility across Sperry.
As An Application Engineer, You Will
- Act as the technical authority for VisionMaster Radar and ECDIS systems
- Support sales and bid activities by defining system architectures, specifications, and configurations
- Translate customer and regulatory requirements into practical, compliant solutions
- Provide technical guidance during project execution, ensuring solutions are correctly delivered
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and service teams to feed back operational and market insights
- Support troubleshooting and complex technical queries where deep product expertise is required

About You
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy applying deep technical expertise while working closely with colleagues across different parts of the business to deliver reliable, high‑quality solutions.
Alongside this, you'll be a great fit if you bring:
- Strong technical knowledge of marine navigation systems, particularly Radar and/or ECDIS
- Experience working with system specifications, configurations, and integration
- The ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non technical stakeholders
- A proactive, collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering high quality solutions
- Experience in applications engineering, systems engineering, technical support, or a similar role (preferred)
