Applications Manager – Microsoft Cloud & Hybrid Consulting
Want to own and influence a Microsoft estate built for the future?
Shape the way an organisation collaborates, governs information, and unlocks value from technology.
I am supporting a forward-thinking Housing Association that is building a modern, cloud-first digital organisation. Having completed a full transition to a SaaS-first, cloud-native technology estate, they are now looking for an experienced Applications Manager to take ownership of their Microsoft application landscape and help drive the next phase of their digital transformation journey.
This is a great opportunity to join an organisation with:
- No legacy infrastructure
- No on-premise estate
- A genuine commitment to innovation
Their digital ecosystem is built on:
- Microsoft 365
- Azure
- Microsoft Fabric
- Modern security practices
This allows the team to focus on:
- Continuous improvement
- User experience
- Delivering real business value
About the Role
As the Applications Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of key Microsoft platforms, with a particular focus on:
- SharePoint
- Microsoft Purview

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
