Application Security Analyst (AI Training)
About the Role

Alignerr partners with the world’s leading AI research labs to build and evaluate cutting-edge AI models. We’re looking for application security professionals who understand how software truly breaks in production—and can translate that expertise into structured reasoning that teaches AI to assess, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities accurately.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your own hours and pace.
Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You’ll Do
- Analyze realistic application security scenarios spanning code, APIs, and live system behavior
- Classify and assess vulnerabilities, including:
- Authentication flaws
- Injection risks
- Access control gaps
- Business logic issues
- Evaluate the quality of secure coding practices and proposed remediation strategies
- Build and validate security-focused reasoning datasets that teach AI to think like an expert analyst
- Distinguish real-world exploitability from theoretical risk with clear, structured written reasoning

Who You Are
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in:
- Application security
- Product security
- Software security
- Solid working knowledge of the OWASP Top 10, including how vulnerabilities manifest in production systems
- Able to think critically about *risk—separating genuine threats from noise
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to explain security reasoning clearly and systematically
- Self-directed, comfortable working asynchronously on task-based assignments
