PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides front-end technical sales support and assists Account Managers / Sales Engineers to provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support.
- Develops technical analysis of products and applications (ours versus competitors).
- Develops training materials which highlight competitive technical advantages.
- Delivers training to internal and external sales resources.
- Conducts customer symposiums to share data and promote our products.
- Identifies opportunities for new product development, which support existing application and improve our value proposition or technical advantage.
- Plays an active role in the new product development process, assisting Business Managers in researching new product ideas.
- Monitors competitor technical changes in product- current and new product initiatives.
- Provides resources to assist Business Managers to execute business models.
- Provides support to area Sales Managers to manage relationships of sales channels.
- Provides support to Business Managers to perform competitive benchmarking.
- Provides support to Sales Managers to manage accounts (local, regional and global).
- Assists Regional Sales Director to identify and pursue projects / prospects.
- Assists Business Managers to develop demand forecasts.
- Assists Global Industry Manager with applications / segments.
- Assists in the development of the annual ChemPharma operating plan.
- Assists Marketing Manager to identify exhibitions.
- Assists Regional Sales Director in following-up on open invoices.
- May be required to participate in technical specifications and contract review for major projects.
- May be required to assist Business Manager with strategic geographic sales initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification) in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering
- Recent graduate.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English including technical and business understanding. Able to communicate in other languages an advantage.
- Rapid learning ability
