Application Specialist – Transfusion and Cell Therapy

Overview

The role involves co-ordination and delivery of clinical training, troubleshooting and support to Health Care Professionals (HCP) relating to Transfusion Cell Therapy (TCT) products. The purpose of this position is to ensure effective implementation and management of existing and new accounts. The role involves national travel so candidate location is flexible and the working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive management of accounts in liaison with the Business Development Manager and other team members.
  • Provide clinical support, expertise, troubleshooting, product selection, and product application for accounts.
  • Design appropriate and consistent teaching and training programmes for the delivery of clinical training to TCT customers in accordance with company policies and procedures. This will include leading the development of a training and implementation plan and Learning Agreement with the customer.
  • Deliver, monitor, measure, and adapt teaching and training programmes to maximise effectiveness and ensure learning has been achieved by healthcare professionals.
  • Manage and deliver clinical training implementation within the agreed budget and implementation plan.
  • Work in conjunction with the National Sales Manager, TCT Product Manager, and Business Development Manager to ensure accurate forecasting of products and disposables.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Service Team for equipment commissioning, Installation Qualification (IQ), and Operational Qualification (OQ), in conjunction with the Field Service Engineer (FSE) team.
  • Conduct pre-purchase clinical presentations, trials, and product evaluations in conjunction with the Business Development Manager. Support the TCT team with clinical information for tender completion as required.
  • Develop a network of contacts relevant to TCT to promote products and maximise sales opportunities, ensuring that current best practice is maintained.
  • Participate in national and local professional meetings, workshops, and internal and external presentations to promote TCT products to healthcare professionals.
  • Manage customer comments and complaints professionally, ensuring that the complaints procedure is followed.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner and lead by example. Maintain a high level of customer confidence by ensuring that all SOPs and company policies are followed.
  • Maintain professional development by ensuring that training levels and product knowledge are maintained, including keeping abreast of changes to clinical practice.
