Enterprise Applications Specialist – Permanent Position
About the Role As the on-site expert for business and enterprise applications, you’ll ensure stable, reliable, and proactive support across critical systems. This role requires hands-on ownership—from first report to final resolution—while collaborating with engineers, manufacturing teams, and IT stakeholders.
You’ll specialise in PLM, CAD, and SAP, bridging gaps between frontline users and IT, with full accountability for system performance and efficiency. The ideal candidate thrives in high-impact environments, deeply understands engineering workflows, and delivers tangible improvements to operational processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line support for PLM, CAD, and SAP, owning incidents, requests, and problem resolutions
- Develop deep, site-specific expertise in engineering workflows—design, configuration management, and production processes—to minimise disruption
- Diagnose application issues and escalate effectively to central Specialists, ensuring tracking until closure
- Build strong relationships with engineers, manufacturers, and operations to align support with real-world usage
- Collaborate with Enterprise Applications teams to enforce standards, optimise processes, and promote continuous improvement
- Work closely with the Site IT Business Partner to prioritise support initiatives
- Participate in digital transformation projects and operational workflow enhancements
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for support procedures and known issues
- Provide on-site support, including occasional travel to other facilities as required
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience supporting PLM and CAD applications in live engineering/manufacturing environments
- Strong first-line support track record, owning incidents from report to resolution for PLM/CAD systems
- In-depth working knowledge of design, engineering change control, and configuration management processes
- Experience supporting engineering teams in high-operational, production-critical settings
- Ability to diagnose PLM/CAD issues and resolve them in collaboration with central application Specialists
- Expertise in integrated enterprise systems, including ERP (e.g., SAP) alongside PLM/CAD
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical gaps with engineering/manufacturing stakeholders
