Application Support Analyst £90,000

Location: London

About the Role

Our client is a leading global financial services organisation operating across energy, commodities and financial markets. They are looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst to join their Technology team and support business-critical trading applications used across their global operations.

Technology plays a central role in the organisation, delivering secure, scalable and innovative solutions that support business growth and provide exceptional client experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you’ll be exposed to complex trading systems and cutting-edge financial technology.

The Opportunity

As an Application Support Analyst, you’ll provide second- and third-line support for a range of front-office and post-trade applications. You’ll work closely with business users, development teams, infrastructure specialists and third-party vendors to investigate issues, resolve incidents and deliver continuous improvements across the application estate.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical problem-solving, thrives under pressure and wants to play a key role in supporting critical trading systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide second- and third-line support for business-critical applications.
  • Manage incidents, service requests and problems through to successful resolution.
  • Support front-office trading, market data, settlement and clearing applications.
  • Work closely with development teams to investigate issues and implement enhancements.
  • Support the implementation of new systems and vendor upgrades.
  • Coordinate technical client onboarding activities.
  • Produce and maintain accurate technical and process documentation.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational processes and system performance.
  • Support exchange reporting and compliance activities.
  • Work within ITIL service management and change management frameworks.
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, technology teams and external vendors.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
