About The Role
We are seeking a technically skilled Application Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT team in Taunton. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the organization's VisualFiles practise management system, providing essential support and development to optimize its performance. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of tasks ranging from day-to-day technical support to system development and workflow automation. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on role that combines technical expertise with problem-solving and process improvement initiatives. The Application Support Analyst will play a pivotal role in ensuring the system's reliability, enhancing user experience, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience supporting and developing VisualFiles or similar case management systems. A background within professional services is highly desirable, providing familiarity with the specific needs and workflows of such environments. Proficiency in Power BI and Excel for reporting and data analysis is essential, along with strong SQL skills for managing and creating reports. Candidates should demonstrate confidence in diagnosing and resolving system or integration issues, with excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. The ability to provide effective IT support across multiple channels— in person, over the phone, and via email—is crucial. Additionally, being highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently will set successful applicants apart.

Responsibilities
- Supporting and maintaining the VisualFiles system, including developing workflows, automations, and system configurations to enhance functionality and efficiency.
- Creating, managing, and optimizing reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel to support business decision-making.
- Providing comprehensive day-to-day IT support across hardware, software, and application issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
- Managing integrations between VisualFiles and third-party tools or platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
- Collaborating with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvements and implementing effective solutions that streamline operations.
- Participating in system upgrades, testing, and documentation to ensure stability and continuous improvement of the IT environment.
- Training end-users on new features, updates, and best practices to maximize system utilization and user satisfaction.
