Job Description: Software Development Role at Mi Hub

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Software Development, you will play a key role in supporting and enhancing both internal and external applications, ensuring they continue to meet evolving business needs. Alongside application support, you will have the opportunity to contribute to development activities, helping to build and improve internal systems as part of a collaborative team.
You will be part of a supportive and agile environment, working with colleagues across the business to deliver reliable and effective solutions. This role offers the opportunity to broaden your experience, develop new skills, and make a meaningful impact within the team.
Key Responsibilities

Support internal and external applications:
- Maintaining the setup of customer portals and completing these requests to a satisfactory SLA.
- Build ad-hoc reports to support the business and their customers.
- Working pro-rata hours to support US customers with out of hours work.

Bug finding and logging:
- Help the team identify issues and log the issues accordingly.
- Provide alternative workarounds to end users.

Write clean, maintainable, standards-aligned code:
- Produce well-structured, secure, maintainable code that aligns with internal coding standards and development policies.
- Apply secure coding practices and maintain awareness of common security risks (including OWASP guidance) as part of day-to-day development.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required
Essential:
- MS SQL Server (T-SQL, Stored Procedures)
- Microsoft Azure Dev Ops.
- Visual Studio 2019/2022/2026
- C#
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Working knowledge of Version Control Systems (Git)
Desired:
- Blazor, WebAssembly
- KnockoutJS, React
- Experience of agile frameworks Scrum/SAFe
- Comfortable with various test frameworks and concepts (TDD)
- Understanding of developing and deploying cloud-based systems
- Understanding of microservices design, containerisation concepts
