Application Support Engineer
Senior Waste Logics Support & Database Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 2nd line technical support to clients, partners, and internal users as part of a multi-tiered support team.
- Manage the ticketing system and ensure the library of queries and resolutions remains up to date.
- Build, maintain, and optimise complex SQL datasets for business intelligence reporting.
- Coordinate directly between customers and 3rd-party vendors.
- Assist in investigating problematic network issues.
- Deliver regular and customised training to internal teams.
- Perform ad-hoc database querying and log analysis.
- Support the development team in creating hotfixes, utilising GitHub for version control.

The successful candidate will:

- Apply logical problem-solving skills to software solutions.
- Adapt quickly to new technologies and processes.

While a dedicated programmer is not required, the role demands:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in 2nd line application support (or a comparable role).
- SaaS industry experience, preferably in a scalable cloud-based system.
- Proficiency in complex SQL scripting (with preference for PostgreSQL).
- A strong foundational knowledge of web development technologies and languages (achieved through education or experience).
- Basic exposure to troubleshooting computer networking problems.
