Applications Analyst

  • 12-month max term full-time contract (maternity leave cover) | Based in Norwest, NSW
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements to support how you work best
  • Support and enhance enterprise HR systems across recruitment, learning and human capital management

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Applications Analyst to join our Information and Digital team and play a key role in delivering and supporting technology solutions that enable high-quality services across BaptistCare. The role will focus on the ongoing enhancement, optimisation and support of critical HR technology platforms, helping ensure our people systems remain reliable, secure and aligned to organisational needs

Working closely with business stakeholders, vendors and technology teams, you will contribute to the delivery of application enhancements, system integrations, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives. You will facilitate requirements gathering, support agile delivery practices, manage application backlogs and help drive user adoption through training and process improvements.

You will also play an important role in maintaining the stability, security and compliance of business-critical applications, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and deliver meaningful outcomes for the organisation and the people we support.

About you:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience working as an Applications Analyst or Functional Consultant or in a similar corporate IT role supporting enterprise applications.
  • Specialised experience supporting core HR systems, including compliance, recruitment, payroll, WHS, learning and human capital management platforms.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments, including backlog management, sprint planning and continuous improvement practice.
  • Strong technical capability across cloud, on-premises and hybrid technology environments.
  • Experience supporting application integrations, data migration activities, reporting and process automation.
  • Exposure to data analysis and T-SQL, with the ability to work with complex business systems and datasets.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into practical business outcomes.

Desirable:

  • Agile Practitioner, Scrum Master, Product Owner or Business Analysis certifications.
  • Experience working with NFP, healthcare, aged care or community services technologies.
