Applications Consultant

Hertford, SG14

We're looking for an Application Consultant to join our growing implementation team. This is a hands-on role where you'll work with customers and internal teams to implement, configure and support our software solutions.

Working closely with experienced consultants, developers and project teams, you'll help gather customer requirements, configure applications, support system integrations and contribute to successful software implementations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid technical foundation who enjoys solving problems, working with customers and is keen to develop their career in software consulting.

Reporting to the Applications Manager (UK), you'll work closely with colleagues across the business to deliver high-quality solutions and provide excellent customer service throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and implement software applications for customers
  • Gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements
  • Support application configuration, testing and deployment activities
  • Work closely with customers to understand their business processes and recommend suitable solutions
  • Assist with integrations between applications and third-party systems
  • Deliver user training, product demonstrations and implementation workshops where required
  • Collaborate with developers, architects and project teams to deliver customer solutions
  • Provide implementation support during testing, go-live and post-deployment
  • Develop strong product knowledge and become a trusted point of contact for customers

About You

  • Experience in an Application Consultant, Implementation Consultant, Business Systems Analyst, Technical Consultant or a similar role
  • Experience configuring, implementing or supporting business applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to APIs, SQL, databases or system integrations would be advantageous but is not essential
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline is desirable
