About this opportunity
Crown are excited to announce a new role in our European Information Systems and Services department (EISS). The team are based in Wantage, near Oxford.
The EISS Application Project lead/Developer will work with Crown Businesses and Functions to capture and document proposals for projects, in line with their strategy. You will be responsible to simultaneously deliver multiple IT Projects in accordance with the PRINCE2 methodology, within the scope of required quality, time, and costs.
Ensuring that Stakeholder and EISS Project Management Tools are kept up to date.
The EISS Application Project lead/Developer will make sure that the ITIL practices and processes needed for Crown business to function and succeed are running smoothly. In your role as a Service Owner and as a technical contact within the Service Delivery Team, you will make sure best practices are adhered to.
The EISS Application Project lead/Developer will coordinate internal EISS and Business resources along with external suppliers to ensure projects and support are completed on time.

Main Responsibilities –
Capable of designing and managing application development. Gather requirements, prepare cost analyses for new applications and produce proposals for new IT projects. Identify organisational need for new applications, research and evaluate new software applications or updates to existing products. Able to translate a business requirement/user requirement to a technical solution. Help prepare technical specification and offer guidance in area of expertise Help investigate and offer advice to assist in resolving faults, errors and other technical issues Liaise with 3rd party suppliers to fulfil the requirements of the organisation Perform project task activities allocated in area of expertise Provide guidance and assistance to the Project and Support Analysts Maintain the status of projects and tasks within the EISS Project Management Tool Ensure full compliance with governance rules covering Sarbanes Oxley and the ITIL Processes defined in the EISS ISO Quality Manual Contribute to continuous improvement of the project and support delivery processes Act as Service owner

Required Education And Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology subject (or similar) Certified in ITIL Foundation PRINCE2 qualification
Required Knowledge And Experience
Expert user of SAP, familiarity with various SAP modules and their functionalities ABAP expertise or experience with programming languages. Project Management experience Experience is a SOX controls environment Experience in application support

Internal and external stakeholder communication skills Proficient user of Excel Impeccable time management and organisational skills Strong leadership and teamworking skills Self-Motivated and the ability to learn quickly Proficient in English (both verbal and written) The ability to relay technical information to non-technical users and elicit clients' needs A creative approach to problem solving and the ability to switch between tasks quickly A methodical, investigative and inquisitive mind and attention to detail
