We’re partnering with a global energy trading business that is investing heavily in Generative AI, building practical AI solutions that improve how teams work, analyse information and make decisions.
They’re looking for an Applied AI Engineer to help take AI from experimentation into real-world use, designing, building and deploying AI-powered workflows, assistants and agentic solutions. This is a hands-on role sitting at the intersection of AI engineering, software development and business problem-solving.
You’ll work directly with commercial and technology teams to identify opportunities, build solutions and see the impact of what you create.

What you’ll be working on:
- Building GenAI applications, assistants and AI agents.
- Developing RAG workflows, knowledge bases and AI-enabled automation.
- Improving AI outputs through evaluation, testing and iteration.
- Working with stakeholders to turn business challenges into practical AI solutions.
What they’re looking for:
- Experience building or implementing Generative AI solutions.
- Strong Python skills.
- Understanding of LLMs, RAG, embeddings and agentic workflows.
- Experience with tools/frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, OpenAI or Anthropic.
- Someone who enjoys working directly with users and turning ideas into production-ready solutions.
