Appointed Person Data Centre Blyth

Our client is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. As an engineering-focused organisation, they have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in our sector.

We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced Appointed Person to join their team. This position will be based on-site in Blyth, Northumberland.

Responsibilities

  • Lifting Operations Planning & Execution
    • Take full responsibility for planning and overseeing all lifting operations, ensuring detailed lift plans, method statements, and risk assessments are in place and executed safely

  • Temporary Works Coordination

    • Manage and coordinate temporary works related to lifting activities, ensuring designs, installations, and dismantling are carried out in line with approved procedures and engineering standards
  • Compliance & Safety Assurance

    • Ensure all lifting operations comply with LOLER, BS standards, and site-specific safety requirements, maintaining a strong focus on high-risk activity control in a fast-paced environment
  • Site Coordination & Contractor Management

    • Work closely with construction teams, subcontractors, and crane operators to coordinate lifting activities, sequencing, and logistics across a large-scale, multi-disciplinary project

  • Inspection, Auditing & Continuous Improvement
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of lifting equipment, operations, and temporary works, driving best practice, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions where required

Requirements

  • Must have relevant qualifications & Certificates
  • Must have 5+ years experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
  • Must be based within a commutable distance of Blyth, Northumberland
