An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Administrative Assistant to join the North West Genomic Laboratory Hub (Liverpool Site)
We are looking for a self-motivated, hard working individual with the ability to use their own initiative and work well within a team. The successful candidate will need to be able to prioritise their own workload and demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, whilst adhering to the Trust's Values and Behaviours framework.
This is initially a fixed term contract for the duration of the Apprenticeship programme. On successful completion of the apprenticeship qualification, the role will become permanent.
To apply for this Apprenticeship role, you must meet the following apprenticeship eligibility criteria:
- Have lived in the UK or the EEA for the last three years continuously
- If working on a Visa, the remaining duration must cover the duration of the Apprenticeship.

Job Purpose
- Undertake defined administrative tasks to assist in the delivery of a safe, effective and efficient Laboratory Genetics Service.
- Act as a main point of contact for service users, answering telephone calls and responding to emails.
- Dispatch letters and clinical reports by post or email.
- Archive and/or scan paper filing of clinical referrals, reports and other laboratory documents.
- Provide other general administrative duties as required within the team and appropriate to the grade.
- Collaborate with other members of the department to achieve an effective and reliable service.
