Location
Stunning state-of-the-art office in Birmingham with onsite amenities including:

As part of your apprenticeship, attendance at South & City Birmingham College is required for one day per week.
Salary
Starting at £17,500 per annum, with an increase after 12 months of service.

- Urban & rural roads

About the Role
This is a full-time, permanent position where you will:
- Obtain a Level 4 Apprenticeship standard in Civil Engineering
- Work closely with the design team, receiving mentorship and guidance
- Develop your skills and knowledge through hands-on tasks
Typical Responsibilities
- Developing an understanding of the sector through observation and collaboration with your mentor
- Producing and designing scaled and schematic temporary traffic management drawings
- Assisting with design modifications for operational feasibility
- Ensuring all temporary traffic management drawings comply with guidelines
- Maintaining up-to-date paperwork
- Maintaining CAD models, drawings, and associated files
Collaboration with Lead Designers to:
- Improve skills in BricsCAD
- Maintain a consistent high standard of presentation for temporary traffic management drawings
Training and Development
- Continuous Health & Safety and Lantra approved training
- Completion of all apprenticeship-associated training
- Exposure to on-site and industry best practice

About You
Key characteristics include:
- Organised and hardworking
- Desire to learn and build a career
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Reliable with initiative to go above and beyond
Essential Attributes
- Suitable Level 3 qualification, where required, and GCSE Maths and English (grade C/4 or equivalent) or qualifying equivalent
- Driving license (or participation in driving lessons) – road awareness and travel as part of the role are essential
- Excellent IT skills
- Strong written and spoken English
- Interest in AutoCAD or similar software packages
- Commendable communication skills with clients and colleagues
- High level of accuracy
- Analytical skills
- Creative flair

- Generating ideas and implementing them
- Working effectively in a small team, contributing by being a team player
