You’ll earn while you learn, gaining a Level 2 Adult Care Worker qualification alongside hands-on experience in a professional, supportive environment. What’s in it for you? £11.25 per hour, plus enhancements where applicable 30 hours per week, including protected study time Monday - Sunday, 07:00 - 14:30 or 14:00 - 21:30 (every other weekend) Dedicated support from your team, manager, apprenticeship provider and Apprenticeship Lead A strong foundation for long-term career progression What you’ll be doing: You’ll be supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives while building valuable skills for a career in care: Providing person-centred care and support to individuals with a range of needs Making a difference every day by supporting people with their independence, wellbeing and confidence Developing communication skills to build positive relationships with residents, families and professionals Supporting daily living activities such as personal care, nutrition and wellbeing Promoting dignity, respect, safeguarding and equality in all aspects of care Learning how to use care plans and digital systems to record what you do Working as part of a team with colleagues and health professionals to deliver high-quality care What could this lead to? While not guaranteed, many apprentices go on to permanent roles with St Monica Trust. Even if that isn’t what you’re looking for, you’ll finish with: A valuable qualification Real workplace experience A strong CV and clear progression options within health and social care What we’re looking for: A kind, caring nature and a real desire to make a positive difference in people’s lives Good communication skills and the ability to listen, understand and show A willingness to learn, grow and develop into a skilled care professional Basic IT skills to record information accurately (e.g. care notes and reports) Reliability, patience and a professional approach to supporting others Ability to work as part of a team and use your initiative when needed English and Maths GCSEs at grade 4/C (or equivalent), or a willingness to work towards achieving them as part of your apprenticeship Why St Monica Trust?
