Join Peabody as an Apprentice Care Support Worker and gain valuable hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification. You'll support people with disabilities to live independently, build confidence, achieve their goals and enjoy life in their community.
Your Day-to-Day
- Supporting people with daily living activities and personal care where required.
- Providing practical, emotional and social support.
- Encouraging hobbies, interests and community involvement.
- Helping people make choices and maintain their independence.
- Supporting with appointments, correspondence and day-to-day life administration.
- Working with families, carers and professionals to provide person-centred support.
- Maintaining accurate records and following safeguarding procedures.
- Promoting dignity, wellbeing and inclusion at all times.

- A good communicator who enjoys working with people.
- Eager to learn and complete a Level 3 apprenticeship.
- Comfortable using technology such as smartphones, computers and online systems.
- Reliable, resilient and able to work as part of a team.
- Flexible to work shifts, including weekends, bank holidays and occasional sleep-in or waking night duties.

About The Apprenticeship
As part of your Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship, you'll gain practical experience while developing the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in care.
You'll
- Attend training sessions, workshops and learning activities.
- Receive regular coaching, mentoring and support.
- Complete assignments linked to your role.
- Develop skills in care, safeguarding, communication and person-centred support.
- Learn alongside experienced professionals.
- Complete an end-point assessment to achieve your qualification.
If required, we'll also support you to achieve Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English.
Successful apprentices will be supported to apply for permanent Care Support Worker opportunities across Peabody.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must:
- Be aged 18 or over when the apprenticeship starts.
- Not be in full-time education.
- Have lived in the UK, EEA, Switzerland or Gibraltar for the previous three years.
- Not already hold a qualification at the same level or higher in Adult Care or a related subject.
- Have residency status that remains valid throughout the apprenticeship.
- Provide qualification equivalency evidence if your qualifications were obtained outside the UK.

This role operates on a 24/7 rota, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and overnight shifts, so flexibility is essential.
A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check will be required before employment can commence.
