Apprentice - Careers and Progression Adviser for Inclusion

Job Details

  • Hours: 36 hours
  • Type: Fixed term role for 30 months

About the Role

This Apprentice role offers an excellent starting point for anyone looking to build a career in careers guidance, combining hands-on experience with a Level 6 Careers Development qualification through a 30-month fixed-term apprenticeship. You will be joining the careers and progression team within student services within the college and benefit from structured training, ongoing support, and mentorship from experienced careers professionals to help your practice and development.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with a diverse student population, delivering one-to-one guidance sessions, deliver group activities, and carry out administrative tasks.
  • Develop as an adviser to deliver high-quality, tailored careers guidance to individuals with diverse support needs, including those with SEND, EHCPs, care experience, and children of Armed Forces personnel.
  • Offer careers guidance throughout the learner journey, from pre-enrolment through to progression, supporting students to achieve their full potential.

Requirements

  • Motivated to make a positive impact by helping others plan and progress in their careers, while also building their own professional pathway.
  • Organised, motivated to learn, and committed to completing the Level 6 apprenticeship.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to build professional relationships.
  • Confidence in using digital tools.
