Everywhen Emerging Careers Apprenticeship Programme 2026
Everywhen, part of the wider Ardonagh Group, is pleased to invite applications for our 2026 Apprentice Claims Handler intake, forming part of our award-winning Emerging Careers Programme. This structured development pathway offers a supported introduction to the insurance profession, combining full-time employment with accredited learning.
These apprentices are full-time positions in either Cardiff or Southampton so you will need to be within a reasonable commute of either of these locations. Initially the role will be fully based in the office, moving to a hybrid working arrangement when training is complete.
About The Programme
Starting in September 2026, apprentices will complete a comprehensive 6-week induction, followed by an 18-month Level 3 Insurance Apprenticeship. Throughout the programme, apprentices receive guidance from experienced mentors, on-the-job training, and access to our award-winning Learning & Development team.
Successful completion leads to a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualification, enabling progression into specialist, leadership or commercial pathways within Everywhen.
Don't just take our word for it, let's hear from one of our 2025 apprentices:
Charlie Brawn, Apprentice Account Handler, London
"I came into the apprenticeship around 3 months after I finished my A-levels. I have always preferred hands-on learning, so I knew that starting a career in financial services, which is an industry I had always wanted to work in, made the most sense. An apprenticeship was the perfect way to start working whilst also learning about the industry and gaining qualifications in insurance.
From day one of the apprenticeship, I was already learning a lot about insurance. The apprenticeship program started with a 6 week induction, which taught me so much about the insurance industry and was the perfect introduction as someone who had no experience in insurance at all. During the 6 week induction I also met the other apprentices who started at the same time, and it was great to have others in the same position as me who were just starting in the industry. The support I received throughout the program is one of the best parts. The Learning and Development team were always approachable (and still are) and would help with anything.
When I transitioned into my role, the support continued, with all my colleagues being very supportive and approachable for any questions I may have. I have no regrets in my choice of starting an apprenticeship at Everywhen. It's given me the chance to start my career early and gain a lot of knowledge, and I have enjoyed every moment since I started."

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
