Apprentice Dental Nurse - Thatcham
As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you’ll support clinicians to deliver a range of high-quality dental treatments and help the smooth running of your surgery and the practice. You will enjoy being part of a team that’s passionate about caring for patients and helping the nation smile. Alongside your role you will achieve a Level 3 in Dental Nursing.
Requirements
- GCSE in Maths (grade 4)
- GCSE in English (grade 4)
- Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Responsibilities
- Reception including answering the phone and greeting patients
- Dealing with patient queries
- Taking payments
- Booking appointments and follow ups
- Sterilising and preparing equipment for dentists
- Recording and dealing with patient records
- Supporting patients' wellbeing and dental experience
- Cleaning dental areas including chairs
- Managing stock of equipment and supplies
- Any other duties to support the dentists and senior team to provide effective patient care

Benefits
- Wage: £16,640 to £26,436.80, depending on your age
- Training: Level 3 in Dental Nursing
- Hours: Supporting practice open hours 8.15am - 4.45pm. Days to be confirmed. 40 hours a week

- After this apprenticeship: Your earnings can increase over time with an apprenticeship. Find out about potential future pay. At Mydentist, your dental career can grow in many directions. With experience, you could progress into roles such as Senior Nurse, Lead Nurse or Practice Manager. With Mydentist-supported training and clinical development, you could advance into Dental Hygienist or Dental Therapist roles, helping deliver preventative and routine treatments. You may also specialise as an Orthodontic Therapist, supporting patients to improve the alignment and appearance of their teeth.
